NACOMYO presents Award to Hon. Ahmed Ahmed

The National Council of Muslim Youth Organization - NACOMYO presented an award of excellence to Hon. Ahmed Mohammed of Ankpa 1 Constituency, yesterday Sunday April 25th, 2019 in recognition of his services to Islam and Humanity. He was represented by Alh Yusuf Mohammed. Those recognized and presented with an outstanding award also include the state Governor Alh. The Deputy Majority Leader and member representing Ankpa 1 State Constituency, Hon. Ahmed Mohammed has received the declaration of the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello to run for a second tenure with excitement, describing it as "A timely call to serve the people of Kogi State better". According to him, it was an opportunity for Kogites and people of Kogi East to re-align with the APC and the government of GYB to achieve their expectations as far as Kogi project is concerned. He said, “The decision of the Governor to declare his ambition for second term has been long expected, and we are happy he has finally let the cat out of the bag. We would give more support now than ever before, without sentiment considering what he has done and what he will still do to show he cares for the people. Ahmed Mohammed, with the Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources Kogi State, Hon. Sanusi Usman Yahaya yesterday Tuesday April 16th, 2019 witness the contract signing for the Engineering Design and Supervision of five (5) erosion sites; Olubo-Ojo in Ankpa LGA, Ogane-Aji in Dekina LGA, Etahi in Okene LGA, Omigbo in Kabba-Bunu LGA, and Ugwolawo in Ofu LGA and three (3) emergency sites; Afor Gam-Gam in Ankpa LGA, Federal University, Lokoja, and Greater Lokoja Water Works in Lokoja, as well as the Supervision of its Sites. Ahmed Mohammed while responding to questions from journalist who visited him said they are done with the first phase of the elections and now, the second phase is to ensure the Governor of Kogi State, Alh. Yahaya Adoza Bello is returned elected in November 2019. He said the Governor within the last three years has laid solid foundations and only his continuity will guarantee putting super structures on the face of a new Kogi State. The Deputy Majority Leader and Member-Elect, to represent Ankpa 1 State Constituency, Hon. Ahmed Mohammed says he is determined to empower many youths in Ankpa LGA. Speaking to newsmen after collection of his Certificate of Return from the Independent National Electoral Commission, he said the focus on youth empowerment was a decision aimed at making many restless and unemployed youths self-reliant thereby enhancing the socio-economic activities in the state. In his words; " I am a strong advocate of the youths and I believe the youths are the backbone of every society because without them, nothing meaningful can be achieved in any society. I know most of their challenges and  that is why I have made youth empowerment an important priority. We have done this in the last three years in office and even before I was elected to represent my people and by the grace of God, I will hit the ground running again as promised during the electioneering.
