APC Ankpa Ward 2 executives Endorses Hon. Ahmed Mohammed For Second term, warns distractors to stay off.


Executives of the All Progressive Congress - Ankpa Ward 2, paid a solidarity visit to the Member representing Ankpa I State Constituency and the Deputy majority leader of Kogi State house of Assembly, Hon. Ahmed Mohammed today Wednesday 22nd Aug, 2018 at his home town in Abache-Ankpa LGA to pass a vote of confidence on him and endorse him for second term.


The meeting which was anchored by the ward chairman, Hon. Sunday Igoche highlighted some of the key achievements of Hon. Ahmed Mohammed within the past two years which include; his flag-off of one of the most biggest water project so far in the history of Kogi State being embark upon by a legislator, tagged “Operation Water for all” which has provided motorized borehole to about 23 communities, award of scholarship to students, rehabilitation of schools, his skill acquisition and entrepreneurship scheme that is taking the  youths off the streets, among others.


According to Hon. Igoche, it has become necessary for the executives to appreciate him for a job well done, and to assure him of their full support to ensure that he is returned for second term and advise other distractors to back off completely to enable the Honorable focus on driving the people to the promise land


They also pledge their total support to the government of his Excellency, the executive governor of Kogi State, Alh. Yahaya Adoza Bello.


Reacting to the confidence vote and endorsement, Hon. Ahmed said: “I am happy with the action of the party executives. The development is cogent, genuine and forward looking. Members of the party should look forward with greater hope for development in the affairs of the party and people of the local government.”

I want to assure you that, I will never let you down. I encourage you all to be loyal and committed to the party, our leaders at the local government, and the state and most importantly the leader of the State, Alh. Yahaya Adoza Bello. 


Most of the executive members who spoke confirmed one good deed or the other in terms of projects the Honorable has executed in their various communities, noting that he has really worked for the people, hence the need for the vote of confidence and total support.

Breaking News: Muri/SDP floors ODODO as Supreme Court grants stay of execution

In a significant development, the Supreme Court has issued a stay of execution on the orders of the Court of Appeal, which were previously granted on March 1st, 2024. These orders had set aside the inspections conducted by the Petitioners, as well as orders G, K, and N of the Tribunal's orders from November 25th, 2023. The legal team representing the Petitioners, led by Chief J.S. Okutepa SAN and including Shaibu Enejoh Aruwa SAN and other lawyers, passionately argued for the stay during today's hearing, expressing concern over the irreversible damage the Court of Appeal's orders would inflict on their clients. Responding to their plea, the Supreme Court granted the interim stay and ordered relief in accordance with the motion filed on March 5th, 2024. The hearing on the motion on notice has now been adjourned to March 11th, 2024.

Breaking: Fresh Petition Accuse Yahaya Bello, Ododo of stealing over N300 Billion Local Government Funds

A fresh petition before the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has accused former Kogi state Governor, Yahaya Bello and his successor, Usman Ododo, of conniving with others to either loot or misappropriate over N300Billion allocation to the 21 Local Governments of the state between May 2016-January 2024. On Wednesday, operatives of EFCC had stormed Bello’s residence in Abuja in an attempt to arrest him over an ongoing fraud investigation. But Ododo arrived the former Governor’s residence and helped him to evade arrest by smuggling him out. However, the fresh petition listed all the 21 immediate past Local Government Chairmen who served during Bello as co-conspirators in the looting of the over N300billion LG funds. The petition signed by a group known as Kogi Conscience stated that in 2016, N23.1billion was received as Kogi Local Govt Allocations and in 2018, N43.6billion was received.
