Members of the Kogi State House of Assembly Standing Committee on Public Account, On Monday 7th January, 2019 begin one of its constitutional/legislative duties by carrying out oversight to Ministries, Parastatals and MDAs in Kogi State. The Committee which begin it's visit to Office of the Accountant General on Monday, also visited the Kogi State Ministry of Finance and Board of Internal Revenue. On Wednesday, the committee visited Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy affairs, Kogi State Universal Basic Education Board, Sustainable Development Goal - SDG office, Ministry of Agriculture and Natual Resources, Ministry of Works, and Ministry of Rural Development. On Thursday 10th January, 2019 the committee visited the Kogi State Ministry of Education. The Chairman of the Committee, Hon. Monday 7th January, 2019 From the office of the Kogi State Accountant General, Lokoja House committee on Public Account on oversight function to as part of its constitutional duties as legislators. The committee seek to verify the following; - indictments and complaints by public account technical sub-committee against MDAs - Records of capital projects carried out in 2018 and level of completion. - Location of sites of the capital projects, amongst others. The Committee was headed by the it's Chairman, Hon. Ahmed Mohammed , Deputy Majority Leader and member representing Ankpa I State Constituency, KGHA and Hon.
