KGHA: Hon. Ahmed Ahmed led House committee on Public Account to oversight function

From the office of the Kogi State Accountant General, Lokoja

House committee on Public Account on oversight function to as part of its constitutional duties as legislators.

The committee seek to verify the following;
- indictments and complaints by public account technical sub-committee against MDAs

- Records of capital projects carried out in 2018 and level of completion.

- Location of sites of the capital projects, amongst others.

The Committee was headed by the it's Chairman, Hon. Ahmed Mohammed, Deputy Majority Leader and member representing Ankpa I State Constituency, KGHA and Hon. Bello Hassan Abdullahi Balogun from Ajaokuta State Constituency, as member of the committee and Hon. Alh. Musa Ahmed Ododo who is a member of the technical sub committee, KGHA

Residents of Ubelle/Allor Community Commend Kogi Deputy Speaker for Grading/Opening Abandoned road.

The Deputy Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, who is also a member representing Ankpa 1 state constituency, Rt. Hon. Ahmed Mohammed has received commendations, prayers and words of encouragement from the people of Ubelle and Allor community, as equipments arrived and have started opening and grading of the major rural road. The road which passes from Ubelle to Allor has long been abandoned and not accessible. While visiting the communities that were badly affected by constant rainfall and erosion, the legislator assures the community that measures will be taken to ensure that, the major access road that link Ubelle to Allor which was long abandoned shall be open to make movement of their goods and other economic activities easier. Akus Lawal, Ankpa 1 The Kogi State House of Assembly has held a public hearing on the Kogi State Tenancy Bill, 2025, as part of efforts to provide a comprehensive legal framework for the regulation of tenancy relationships across the state.
