Governor Yahaya Bello Receives Torch of Unity For Asaba 2022 National Sport Festival (NSF)

Receiving the Torch of Unity on behalf of the Governor at the Kogi State Government House, Lokoja on Friday, the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Pharmacist Jamiu Abdulkareem Asuku assured Mr Saka Hakim a representative of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Dev. that Kogi State will no doubt participate in the festival. The Governor also disclosed that every obligations necessary for Kogi State to participate at the event will be facilitated. Ahmed Mohammed has on behalf of the people of Ankpa district, sympathizes with the people of Okenyi Community over the passing of the their traditional ruler, His Royal Highness Alhaji Sule Ujah. He describes his transition as a fall of an Iroko tree, stating that he would be missed greatly. The State legislator said his wisdom and integrity has been invaluable in advancing the growth and progress of Okenyi Community and Ward 2 in particular. It was a convivial and hottest naming ceremony that had in attendance virtually every body who was somebody in the contemporary Kogi Political cycles. The Presiding Imam Shayk Muhammad Azakir officially announced names of the new born babies as Abdul-rasheed and Rasheedat. Earlier today, Hon. Musa Idris unveiled Mr Shola Adewuyi Ibrahim as the New Technical Adviser for Kogi United Football Club. Hon. Musa Idris at the event Congratulated the New Coach and tasked him to use his experience to reposition the club as his appointment came with huge responsibility.   "I want to congratulate you on your new appointment and at the same time I am urging you to use your experience to reposition the club." He said.
