Gov Bello assures continued support for NYSC in Kogi State

Kogi State Governor, His Excellency Yahaya Bello on Friday assured the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in Kogi State of his administration's continues support for the scheme.

Governor Bello gave the assurance during the swearing-in and official Opening Ceremony for the 2023 Batch 'A' stream II orientation Course for Corps members deployed to Kogi State, at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp. Asaya, Kabba, Kogi State. 
The Governor was ably represented by Hon. Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development Hon. Musa Idris who also double as Chairman NYSC Governing Board, Kogi Stat.

Delivering his address, the Governor stated that the present administration led by would continued to support NYSC scheme in the state.
The Governor, while congratulating all the Corps Members on their academic success and graduation from various institutions of higher learning across the nation, which qualified them for the NYSC Scheme, urged Corps Members to take Orientation Course serious as that is meant to prepare them and keep them alert, physically, mentally and intellectually for the challenge they are likely to encounter during and after the Orientation Course.

He equally, admonished the newly inducted Corps members to key into programs aligned for them during the Orientation Course and to take advantage of skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship programs during the training to enable them become self reliant. 

Earlier, in her welcome Speech, the State NYSC Coordinato, Pastor Mofoluwaso Williams expressed gratitude to the Youth friendly Governor, Yahaya Bello and people of Kogi State for the support and a secure environment for Corps members to serve.

The Governor ended his speech by appreciating the NYSC staffers and collaborating agencies for their exemplary services.
