ANKPA I STATE CONSTITUENCY IS IN A BETTER HAND FOR NOW

"Its a manifestation of abnormality, misplacement of priority, deception, pretence, waste of time and resources for one or body to embark on a rescue mission for an area or place or group of people where there is stillness of peace, freedom and  sustainable progressive development in the name of same peace, freedom and development of same area or place or people."

Its true that in a Democratic society, election is an instrument via which the electorates vote into political office whoever they deem fit. Who will represent their interests and influences the development of their given areas such as community, LGA, constituency, state or country. Thereby, election period is when interested individual politicians and body like political party and groups does canvass, campaign for the electorates' mandate for their candidates or themselves to represent or govern them respectively. Whereupon, politicians at home and from abroad would come home to trade their popularity hence politics is a game of popularity in their quest for political power. wherein, they normally outpour their political promises to the electorates which has been the experience since the steady democracy in Nigeria.

To this extent, it is not surprising that a lot of politicians and political parties and organizations are now beating drums of patriotism in the governance and policies of their respective constituencies and showcasing their interests for pilolitical offices all over the country hence general elections is at the corner. No doubt, this synerio is not strange or different to the good people of Kogi state and Ankpa 1 Constituency hence we had pertook in many elections and had experienced different representations by those whom we did gave our mandates so far and their developmental efforts in the surface of Ankpa 1. On record, we have, Hon. Kizito Makolo, Hon. Yunusa Ejegbo (my kinsman and brother), Hon. Habiba Deen, Hon. Halims Abdullahi, Hon. Abdulmuminu and now Hon. Ahmed Muhammed.

Similarly, its not far-fetched that a lot of politicians both at home and in diaspora are already at home leaving their works and business, wagging up and  declaring to contest for Ankpa 1 State Constituency coming 2019 with a lot of promising promises on youth empowerment, provisions of social amenities, educational development, active representation etc which is as usual. However, the pertinent question that comes to mind is whether these aspirants are really coming for the interests of the masses or for their selfishness. If their interests is for the former then I see no need for now for all what they are promising us are what we do enjoy now. Be it provisions of social amenities, youth empowerment or active representation and others.

Objectively, devoid of sentiment and favouritism, its glaring that what we do have today in the developmental surface of Ankpa 1 via the representation of Hon. Ahmed Muhammed is quite incomparable needed more chance. Therefrom, it would be a manifestation of abnormality, misplacement of priority, deception, pretence, waste of time and resources for anybody to contest for the same political office which may be to the detriment of his or her work or business where already there is a better hand doing the job.

To all progressive minded and sincere patriotic sons and daughters of Ankpa 1 Constituecy, there is no doubt  that Ankpa is in a good hand for now. Hon. Ahmed Muhammed in my sensitive and evidence oriented accessment, has really proved himself  a true developmental enthusiast. His hand written of achievemnts on the developmental wall of Ankpa 1 is incomparable. what  is needed now is to encourage and avail him more chance for more dividend.

Its high time we embraced politics of "what one has done, what he can do and his personality" and not where one come from, which political party one belong or one religion if we must get it right as a people.
Really, Ankpa is blessed with many well-to-do sons and daughters who have a lot and are willing to contribute to the development of our abode but our contributions must not be via political office alone perhaps a promising hand is there doing the job for you. As a patriotic individual, you can contribute your quarter through other means if your intention is for the interests of the masses.

Although, historically nobody has represented Ankpa 1 for two times but that may be due to their disappointment to the people or their wilfulnees not to recontest for either lack of popularity or quest for higher office or something else but different is the case now for Hon. Ahmed has proved himself beyond reasonable doubt and still willing to recontest in other to complete his masses oriented assignment.
Consequently upon, we should not drag ourselves to the mud for now hence Ankpa 1 is in a better hand.
