Recall that, on Tuesday 6th March, 2018, Hon. Ahmed Mohammed sponsored a bill for an act to establish Kogi Youth Development Commission and other matters connected therewith 2018. This bill scaled through its first and second reading and has been referred to the committee for proper scrutiny. Ankpa LGA: Winners emerge as Ankpa I Maiden Quranic recitation competition ends

Detail report The overall winner was turbaned during the closing ceremony at Ankpa Township Stadium by the Chief Imam of Ankpa LGA, Sheiqh Salman A'adam. While speaking at the historic event, the Deputy Majority Leader and member representing Ankpa I State Constituency, Honorable Ahmed Mohammed who is the convener described the recitation of the Holy Qur’an as a blessing from the Almighty God to the Muslims Ummah and a guide for his bounties to each and every reciter in particular and Muslims generally. Eid-el Fitr: Hon. Ahmed Mohammed  task Muslims on lessons of Ramadan.

The Deputy Majority Leader and member representing Ankpa I State Constituency at the Kogi State House ofAssembly Lokoja, Hon. Ahmed Mohammed  has felicitated with Muslim Ummah in the State and in Nigeria, on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el Fitr celebration with a task on Muslim faithful to reflect on the lessons learnt during the Ramadan period and on the significance of fasting as a religious obligation. In his special Sallah message to mark the Eid-el-Fitr Sallah celebration made available to press, he said the ceremony connotes sacrifice, selflessness, love and total submission to the will of Allah (SWT). In his words; "We should allow the true meaning of Ramadan reflect deep in our lives and on the positive impact it will make on the lives of others. Photo speak: On Friday 1st June, 2018, the Member representing Ankpa I State Constituency and Deputy majority leader of Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Ahmed paid a visit to Mr. Suleiman Usman Adejoh, at Gauraka, Suleja LGA of Niger State. Usman Adejoh who is an indigine of Ankpa LGA had a SPINAL CORD INJURY as a result of the heavy rainfall which brought down his house while he was asleep on Friday 18th May, 2018. He was rushed to the hospital and spend some days but the parents couldn't meet up the required amount to foot his medical bills. This was part of the reasons why the matter of urgent public importance was raised on the floor of the house calling on the state government to come to the aid of this young man who is dying of pains. The Honorable members on their part, raised some money for Mr. Usman Adejoh while we await the kind gesture of the Kogi State Government. We wish brother Adejoh Usman speedy recovery.
