Eid-el Fitr: Hon. Ahmed Mohammed  task Muslims on lessons of Ramadan.

The Deputy Majority Leader and member representing Ankpa I State Constituency at the Kogi State House ofAssembly Lokoja, Hon. Ahmed Mohammed  has felicitated with Muslim Ummah in the State and in Nigeria, on the occasion of this year’s Eid-el Fitr celebration with a task on Muslim faithful to reflect on the lessons learnt during the Ramadan period and on the significance of fasting as a religious obligation.

In his special Sallah message to mark the Eid-el-Fitr Sallah celebration made available to press, he said the ceremony connotes sacrifice, selflessness, love and total submission to the will of Allah (SWT). In his words; "We should allow the true meaning of Ramadan reflect deep in our lives and on the positive impact it will make on the lives of others. Without the virtues of brotherly love, accommodation and sacrificial giving, religion would make no meaning and peace would be elusive in the society.

“I therefore admonish us to learn from the good lessons of the Eid-el-Fitr. As Muslims, we are aware that Islam means peace and preaches love, understanding and peaceful co-existence amongst members of every community, irrespective of religious or ethnic affiliations". He said.

He, therefore, wished the people of Ankpa I State Constituency, Kogi State and Nigerians a pleasant and peaceful celebration.
