NSF Asaba 2022: Kogi Commissioner For Youth and Sports attends Opening ceremony in Asaba, Delta State
Honourable Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development Kogi State, Hon. Musa Idris Danjuma (Oando) attended the opening ceremony of the 21st Edition of the National Sports Festival held at Steven Keshi International Stadium, Asaba, Delta State.
Hon. Musa Idris said he is in Asaba to lend support to Kogi State contingents/athletes (Team Kogi) and their Technical handlers in order to rouse and motivate them for a better performance at the National fiesta.
Hon. Musa Idris while conveying the best wishes of the Sport passionate Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Governor Yahaya Bello for their victory assured the athletes of the State Government full support and commitment to the welfares of the players, he admonished them to be focused, determined to make the state proud by winning laurels and for the world to become known of their exceptional talents.
"I am here in Asaba to give you the support you needed to excel in this tournament and to also spurs your motivation for the games, so, you have no reason to be enervated, I am not just here as a Commissioner but also as your friends that shares passion for sports."
Hon Idris expressed appreciation to the sport loving Governor of Kogi State for supporting the state contingents with fund for the biennial event.
Hon. Musa Idris charged all athletes to be good ambassadors of the State and show commitment toward winning medals for the state.
He concluded by asking the general public to dispelled as rumours alleged false publications on social media and other platform that the state's contingents welfares are not properly taken care of describing such as mischievous coming from the enemies of the New direction Government of Governor Yahaya Bello and Sport Ministry.
