Ankpa LGA: Hon. Ahmed Mohammed receives decampees from APDA, SDP and PDP

The fortunes of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ankpa I constituency has continued to grow as more members of other political parties and groups have swell its ranks. The Deputy Majority Leader of KGHA while receiving decampees on Saturday 20th October 2018 at his hometown Abache-Ankpa LGA, members of the People's Democratic Party (PDP),  the Social Democratic Party (SDP), the African Democratic Congress (ADC), and others all formally collapsed their structures for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). They pointed out the exemplary leadership style of Hon. Ahmed Ahmed as the reason for their decisions to ditch their old political parties. Ankpa LGA: Hon. Ahmed Mohammed inspect Primary Health Care Oji-Apata in Ankpa LGA. Promise speedy intervention.

Yesterday Sunday 21st October 2018, the Honorable member representing Ankpa I State Constituency and the Deputy majority leader of Kogi State house of Assembly, Hon. Ahmed Mohammed on his way to Lokoja after spending the weekend at his hometown attending to constituents, stopped by youths along Oji-Apata and they pleaded with him to bring back their only means of health care to life. The Primary health care centre which is the only one that serves Oji-Apata, and other neighbouring communities is completely empty with no medical facilities, no staff and it has been abandoned. He took his time to go round the hospital and resolved with the community, the only nurse present to make a list of everything they needed and submit to him today (Monday 22nd October 2018) for speedy intervention. I am appealing to you to make a full list of the things the Health care will need and make sure it gets to me tomorrow (Monday) So that we can make progress. Ankpa LGA: Hon. Ahmed Mohammed flagoff water for Ubèlle community.

On  Saturday 20th October 2018, Hon. Ahmed Mohammed of Ankpa I State Constituency and the Deputy majority leader of Kogi State house of Assembly flagged up the construction of a borehole for the people of Ubellè community in Ankpa LGA. He assured the people of the community to expect more dividends of democracy from his administration and of Kogi State Government. The youth leader in the community, Mallam Husseini Usman describes Hon. Ahmed Mohammed as a leader that understand the plight of his people. In his words; “He is a man that listen to cry of the youths and elders. Water is one of our major challenge here at Ubèlle, we appealed to him to extend his project to our community just last month, and today he just called me that he is coming to see my people. We so much appreciate his effort and pray to Almighty Allah to guide and protect him for us. We assure him of our support and prayers anytime”, he said. Kogi State Governor Bello signs Kogi State House of Assembly Commission Bill, 3 other bills into Law

Following the lead of President Muhammadu Buhari, who few months ago assented to the bill for an autonomy for the judiciary and state legislature,  Governor Bello signs the Bill granting autonomy of the State House of Assembly into Law making him one of the Governors to take early action on this. While assenting to the Bill, Governor Bello said the law would enhance the effective operations of the legislature. Other Bills signed into Law today are: A Bill for a law to make provision for a Contributory Pension Scheme for employees in the Public Service in Kogi State and other matters connected therewith 2018. On this, Governor Bello remarked that his administration inherited a backlog of pensioners claims dating back as far as 15 years. A situation he described as “appalling”.
