APPRECIATION

With a heart full of gratitude to Almighty God, I want to thank the overwhelming mandate the people of Ankpa I State Constituency have given me via their votes in the just concluded Primary Election, to represent them at the Kogi State House of Assembly come 2019.I was voted by all the delegates of the five wards, local government Executives and leaders of our great party the APC, as a Consensus Candidate.

I want to specially thank the people of my constituency for believing in me and been part of our success so far. Our journey has never been one of short cuts or settling for less. It has not been for those who prefer leisure over work, rather it has been the risk takers, doers and makers of things, men and women who are so passionate to see that our constituency move forward.

Special appreciation to his Excellency the executive governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello, the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Hon. Edward David Onoja, the leaders of our great party the APC, all appointees and elected members from Ankpa LGA, and to my supporters, I thank you.

We have seen proofs that we can achieve unbelievable things when we all come together. In the last three years we have made progress because you believed, but there is still a lot more to be done. I call on you all to give me your support as we prepare for general elections.  This is our project and we must do it together.

The Science Quiz Competition organised for Students in Ankpa LGA at St. Charles College, was greeted by so many people who troop in to see the display of academic knowledge of our teeming youths in Ankpa LGA. The competition was strongly contested among Ten (10) secondary schools viz; Comsaldocg’s College Ankpa, Aleka Academy Ankpa, Global College Ankpa, St Charles College Ankpa, Redeemer Secondary School Ankpa, Community Sec. School, Demonstration Sec School, Unity Comprehensive Sec school, Dynamic International Group of School, Ankpa LGA Special Day Sec. School, and Govt. Girls Sec. School Okaba. The Science subjects selected for the quiz programmes are Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics. Breaking News: Muri/SDP floors ODODO as Supreme Court grants stay of execution

In a significant development, the Supreme Court has issued a stay of execution on the orders of the Court of Appeal, which were previously granted on March 1st, 2024. These orders had set aside the inspections conducted by the Petitioners, as well as orders G, K, and N of the Tribunal's orders from November 25th, 2023. The legal team representing the Petitioners, led by Chief J.S. Okutepa SAN and including Shaibu Enejoh Aruwa SAN and other lawyers, passionately argued for the stay during today's hearing, expressing concern over the irreversible damage the Court of Appeal's orders would inflict on their clients. Responding to their plea, the Supreme Court granted the interim stay and ordered relief in accordance with the motion filed on March 5th, 2024. The hearing on the motion on notice has now been adjourned to March 11th, 2024.

Breaking: Fresh Petition Accuse Yahaya Bello, Ododo of stealing over N300 Billion Local Government Funds

A fresh petition before the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has accused former Kogi state Governor, Yahaya Bello and his successor, Usman Ododo, of conniving with others to either loot or misappropriate over N300Billion allocation to the 21 Local Governments of the state between May 2016-January 2024. On Wednesday, operatives of EFCC had stormed Bello’s residence in Abuja in an attempt to arrest him over an ongoing fraud investigation. But Ododo arrived the former Governor’s residence and helped him to evade arrest by smuggling him out. However, the fresh petition listed all the 21 immediate past Local Government Chairmen who served during Bello as co-conspirators in the looting of the over N300billion LG funds. The petition signed by a group known as Kogi Conscience stated that in 2016, N23.1billion was received as Kogi Local Govt Allocations and in 2018, N43.6billion was received.
