Rt. Hon. Ahmed Mohammed Congratulates Gov. Bello on appointment as National Youth Coordinator of APC Presidential Campaign Council


Describes him as the face of Nigerian Youths
Member representing Ankpa 1 constituency, Rt. Hon. Ahmed Mohammed has joined millions of Nigerians and people of Kogi State to felicitate with the Executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Yahaya Bello over his appointment as National Youth Coordinator of APC Presidential Campaign Council

The state legislator while expressing his joy over the appointment of Gov. Bello, describes him as the face of Nigerian Youths. He noted that, Gov. Bello being the youngest Governor has broken the jinx between the old and the young, rich and poor, influential and a nobody in politics by redefining it differently.

Rt. Honorable Ahmed Mohammed said he is confident that, Gov. Bello will use his wealth of experience to navigate across the state and woo more followers and strong base for the APC as the party prepares for 2023 general election.

He called on all the youths across the state to see the emergence of Gov. Bello as a pointer to more political success for Kogi State, while praying for strength, wisdom and God's guidance as he embark on the task to deliver millions of youths to the APC Presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the APC come 2023.

Breaking News: Muri/SDP floors ODODO as Supreme Court grants stay of execution

In a significant development, the Supreme Court has issued a stay of execution on the orders of the Court of Appeal, which were previously granted on March 1st, 2024. These orders had set aside the inspections conducted by the Petitioners, as well as orders G, K, and N of the Tribunal's orders from November 25th, 2023. The legal team representing the Petitioners, led by Chief J.S. Okutepa SAN and including Shaibu Enejoh Aruwa SAN and other lawyers, passionately argued for the stay during today's hearing, expressing concern over the irreversible damage the Court of Appeal's orders would inflict on their clients. Responding to their plea, the Supreme Court granted the interim stay and ordered relief in accordance with the motion filed on March 5th, 2024. The hearing on the motion on notice has now been adjourned to March 11th, 2024.

Breaking: Fresh Petition Accuse Yahaya Bello, Ododo of stealing over N300 Billion Local Government Funds

A fresh petition before the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has accused former Kogi state Governor, Yahaya Bello and his successor, Usman Ododo, of conniving with others to either loot or misappropriate over N300Billion allocation to the 21 Local Governments of the state between May 2016-January 2024. On Wednesday, operatives of EFCC had stormed Bello’s residence in Abuja in an attempt to arrest him over an ongoing fraud investigation. But Ododo arrived the former Governor’s residence and helped him to evade arrest by smuggling him out. However, the fresh petition listed all the 21 immediate past Local Government Chairmen who served during Bello as co-conspirators in the looting of the over N300billion LG funds. The petition signed by a group known as Kogi Conscience stated that in 2016, N23.1billion was received as Kogi Local Govt Allocations and in 2018, N43.6billion was received.
