ActionAid SARVE II Project: Our doors are open for innovative ideas; Kogi Deputy Speaker.

The Deputy Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly and member representing Ankpa 1 constituency, Rt. Hon. Ahmed Mohammed, with colleague Hon. Barr. Cosmos Ataboh live at the official launch of ActionAid Nigeria Project tagged "System and Structure Strengthening Approach against Radicalization to Violence Extremism" (SARVE)

The Deputy Speaker who open the event with a brief welcome speech, pointed out that The best way to counter violent extremism is to prevent it, and this can be achieved through ‘soft power’, to prevent a threat driven by distorted interpretations of culture, hatred, and ignorance.

He appreciate ActionAid for kick starting the phase II of the SARVE project, as this will go a long way in connecting with the people in rural areas. In his words; "I want to assure you, that Kogi State Government under the leadership of his Excellency, Alh. Yahaya Adoza Bello is ready to partner with you anytime. Our doors are open for innovative ideas that has direct impact and are of benefit to the people at the grassroot. The Kogi State government appreciates your efforts in empowering  over 750 youths across the 3 senatorial district in the SARVE phase II project"

He rounded up by commending ActionAid for their support in ensuring that the Kogi State Youth Development Commission is now a reality, and alo calls for more synergy towards its implementation.
The project phase II was flagged off by the Secretary to Kogi State Government, Mrs. Folashade Arike Ayoade, the Deputy Speaker Rt. Hon. Ahmed Mohammed, Commissioner for Agriculture. Hon. Oloruntoba Kehinde and other top government officials.
