Days have emptied themselves into months, and the months have since culminated into a year, yet the joy on the faces of the good people of Ankpa 1 Constituents are indeed palpable. These stems from the fact that in 365 days, the  Rt. Hon. Ahmed Mohammed legislative patterns have glaringly created a paradigm shift from the old order of leadership into a robust, purposeful and growth-driven representation.

Known for his popular viewpoint, "More of People, Less of me," which conspicuously proves his untiring love for his people, the Deputy Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly continues to exemplify effective and efficient use of resources available to his Office.

For the records, this summary ably reveals in brief breakdown, analysis of some major Constituency and Legislative Functions of Rt. Hon. Ahmed Mohammed in the last 365 days:

The people of Ankpa 1 constituency have been badly threatened by Erosion Menace. This had affected our agricultural productivity, our economic activities, our houses, schools, and places of worships. I feel the state government should immediately come to our rescue to arrest the situation. There is a sponsored bill titled; A BILL FOR A LAW TO ESTABLISH THE KOGI STATE EROSION CONTROL AND PREVENTION COMMISSION, 2019. This Bill seeks to provide for the establishment of the Erosion Control and Prevention Commission as a statutory body and to vest it with the responsibility to prevent, manage, control and redress erosion in the affected Local Government Areas of the State. The State Government has supported in its own way by releasing counterpart funding to the Nigerian Erosion and Watershed Management Project - NEWMAP Kogi State .

Also, a sponsored bill for A LAW TO REPEAL AND RE-ENACT  KOGI STATE COLLEGE OF EDUCATION ANKPA TO DEGREE AWARDING INSTITUTION AND OTHER MATTERS CONNECTED THEREWITH 2019,alsod a motion of urgent public importance calling on the state government to immediately declare a state of emergency on all government public schools in Kogi State was moved sometime in 2019.

The attainment of a Degree awarding institution to Kogi State College of Education Ankpa would also enhance the operation of the college to achieve its mission and vision to constantly attract, develop and graduate competent, knowledgeable and talented individuals from the institution. And so many other Vital motions of importance to the people.

A project of providing a befitting building for disabled women and widows in Ankpa LGA will be commissioned soon along with the water project for Ubokpo community and Ubelle community in Ankpa LGA and with the little resources at our disposal, coupled with the fall in the nation’s economy which affected all states due to the COVID-19 pandemic, food items and cash, sanitizers, protective mask as palliative measures to ease the spasms associated with the temporal lockdown.

Suffice it to say that the Ankpa 1 Constituency have witnessed a revealing touch of prosperity in  demanding areas of growth. Undoubtedly, Rt. Hon Ahmed Mohammed in 365 days has not rested on his oars in delivering quality dividends of leadership which have been evident through laudable community projects  the youth friendly pointers of empowerment schemes, entrepreneul programmes which solely considers industrous people, especially women in the Constituency, shaping them into self reliance. The  educational performance have been tremendous, the implications are that Ankpa 1 is better equipped with conducive environments for quality education, which had steadily increased testimonies from observers in the past months. The agricultural sectors have had their own fair share of magic touch. Lofty programmes targeting farmers have caused Ankpa 1 to become a major player in the food supply chain of the Kogi State. All these, among others prove one thing of Rt. Hon. Ahmed Mohammed: that there is more where that came from!
