The late Justice Ibrahim Shaibu Atadoga who is the President of the Kogi State Customary Court of Appeal is a native of Omala L.G.A, he was instrumental to the creation of the Customary Court of Appeal in Kogi State. Kogi Deputy Speaker condemn killing of two women from Enjema/Emabu community; calls for peace

The Deputy Speaker expressed shock over the incident which he described as evil and barbaric, for a man to kill two unarmed women at a farm over issues that may be resolved peacefully and amicably. While expressing confidence in the security architecture of the state, headed by the SSA security in Ankpa LGA, to fish out the perpetrator, he said as stakeholders they would not leave any stones unturned until the culprit is brought to face the law. He prayed for the peaceful repose of the souls of the deceased and asked for divine fortitude for the families and relations left behind, and sue for peace between affected communities. Ahmed Mohammed Today 6th June, 2020 marks exactly 365 days i took oath of office with other distinguished honourable members of the seventh assembly to represent the people of Ankpa 1 state constituency in the Kogi Sate House of Assembly. I was also nominated by my colleagues to serve as the Deputy Speaker. I give thanks and pray to Almighty Allah for the journey so far, and i congratulate all of us, not only for the time we have spent, but also for all that we have achieved together within the short time and all that we have planned to achieve for our people. Ahmed Attah over the demise of his beloved father, late Pa Atta Akwuga The lawmaker who paid a condolence visit to Hon. Ahmedi Attah in his hometown said Pa Attah Akwuga returned to his Creator as a very blessed and fulfilled man who lived to see his son grow and become a factor in Kogi State and Igala land, praying that God Almighty will grant his late father peaceful and eternal rest from his labours on earth. He prayed to God to comfort him, families and loved ones, and grant him the grace to bear this loss and strength to remain steadfast.

Ahmed Mohammed attends the Eight (8) day fidau prayer of late Hajiya Mariam Jibrin Abagwu, the mother of the SSA on security to Ankpa LGA, Hon. Ibrahim Abagwu  He then proceed to attend the fidau prayer of late Alh. Hussaini Achimi Adaji, and sympathize with the family. The Deputy Speaker prayed to Allah to grant the soul of the deceased Aljannah. As Muslims all over the world mark Eid-el-Fitr, the Deputy Speaker Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ahmed Mohammed congratulated Muslims all across board, particularly faithfuls in Kogi State for the successful Ramadan fast and Salatul Eid El Fitri, while he admonished them to offer prayers for country and state. Ahmed Mohammed condemned the recent violence in Enjema community which has claim lives and destruction of properties. The legislator who expressed disappointment at the rate at which youths take laws into their hands to destroy properties, kill innocent people over issues that can be resolved amicably said, we must as a people not take laws into our hands when there are disagreements. He called on the youths to remain peaceful, while urging stakeholders, traditional rulers and security agencies to as a matter of urgency come up with measures that will bring peace and equally the perpetrators to book. He equally applaud the state government effort in ensuring that the security of lives and property of Kogites is it's topmost priority.

Yahaya Adoza Bello over the death of his mother Hajiya Hauwau Bello. In a condolence message, the Ankpa I legislator said: “I am profoundly touched by the passing of Hajiya Hauwau Bello and I join your entire family in mourning the inspiring mother. She had the unique grace of giving birth to a child that has become a jewel not only the people of Kogi Central, but to entire KOGI State. “On behalf of the good people of Ankpa I constituency and the numerous supporters of the APC in the state and beyond, i extend sympathy to our beloved governor and his family for the loss of HAJIYA Hauwau’’ he stated. A community philanthropist and traditional herbalist known within and outside Kogi State, Chief Dr. Aduh Salisu - Baba IFA Irukere AYA Orunmila, a native of IMANE in Olamaboro LGA has urged sons and daughters of the community within and outside KOGI State, to be involved in the development of the community. Baba IFA made the call on Saturday in his hometown IMANE Etèke during the commissioning of roundabout, which he built for his community. According to Chief Irukere, “a lot can be achieved in the development of our communities if individuals blessed by God give back to the society. There is no way a government can provide for all the needs of the people but, just a little sacrifice by individuals or group of friends to development of the communities can make a lot of difference in the life of the people,” he said.
