Okenyi Development Association - ODA Passes vote of confidence on Hon. Ahmed Mohammed, Endorsed him for Second term

The Hon. member representing Ankpa I State Constituency and Deputy majority leader of Kogi State house of Assembly, along with his campaign team attends the yearly get-together/Community meeting of Okenyi Development Association in Okenyi, Ankpa LGA.

The Honorable who Started his speech by appreciating the elders, women and Youths of ODA home and abroad, who has always thrown their weight behind him, gave a breakdown of his constituency projects, Motions and bills sponsored in the house and how it has postively affect the people directly, highlights of his Infrastructural development projects, Supply of Equipment to our health centres, Rehablitation of Schools across Ankpa I constituency, and his projections for 2019 when elected for Second term.

The National Chairman of Okenyi Development Association - ODA, Mr. Alhassan Godwin describes the Deputy majority leader as a true leader with esteem leadership experience, who if given the opportunity and voted again to represent Ankpa I State Constituency, Ankpa LGA will witness a tremendous development across the nook and crannies of the community.

Mr. Joseph Sani, Omaçhi Onu-Okenyi who spoke on behalf of the Onu-Okenyi assures Hon. Ahmed Ahmed of their total support, added that As 2019 election is gradually knocking on our doors, if we indeed hope to go into the future with the expectation of a better leader for Ankpa I,  we have to rejuvenate a new vision and hope, and Hon. Ahmed Ahmed is the new face of hope - of the masses.

He said in the past there have witness bad leadership but with the coming of Hon. Ahmed Mohammed, the people have resort to witness new ideologies with a man who believes in taking the issue of his people a priority.

Breaking News: Muri/SDP floors ODODO as Supreme Court grants stay of execution

In a significant development, the Supreme Court has issued a stay of execution on the orders of the Court of Appeal, which were previously granted on March 1st, 2024. These orders had set aside the inspections conducted by the Petitioners, as well as orders G, K, and N of the Tribunal's orders from November 25th, 2023. The legal team representing the Petitioners, led by Chief J.S. Okutepa SAN and including Shaibu Enejoh Aruwa SAN and other lawyers, passionately argued for the stay during today's hearing, expressing concern over the irreversible damage the Court of Appeal's orders would inflict on their clients. Responding to their plea, the Supreme Court granted the interim stay and ordered relief in accordance with the motion filed on March 5th, 2024. The hearing on the motion on notice has now been adjourned to March 11th, 2024.

Breaking: Fresh Petition Accuse Yahaya Bello, Ododo of stealing over N300 Billion Local Government Funds

A fresh petition before the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has accused former Kogi state Governor, Yahaya Bello and his successor, Usman Ododo, of conniving with others to either loot or misappropriate over N300Billion allocation to the 21 Local Governments of the state between May 2016-January 2024. On Wednesday, operatives of EFCC had stormed Bello’s residence in Abuja in an attempt to arrest him over an ongoing fraud investigation. But Ododo arrived the former Governor’s residence and helped him to evade arrest by smuggling him out. However, the fresh petition listed all the 21 immediate past Local Government Chairmen who served during Bello as co-conspirators in the looting of the over N300billion LG funds. The petition signed by a group known as Kogi Conscience stated that in 2016, N23.1billion was received as Kogi Local Govt Allocations and in 2018, N43.6billion was received.
