The Deputy Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly and member representing Ankpa I constituency, Rt. Hon. Ahmed Mohammed, on behalf of the people of his constituents, wishes to congratulate Chief Edward David Onoja as the Deputy Governor of Kogi State.

The Deputy Speaker who spoke shortly after the oath taking ceremony describes Edward Onoja as "A MAN OF IMPECCABLE CHARACTER", saying that he has an enviable record of distinguished service as a Chief of Staff to His Excellency Alh. Yahaya Adoza Bello and as a leader of Kogi East. In his words; "I am confident that His Excellency Chief Edward Onoja is very well prepared due to his vast experience in governance as the former Chief of Staff. Together with Governor Yahaya Bello, I am confident that you will advance the cause of good governance that will produce tangible results and positively affect the lives of all the people of the state.

We will continue to pray for God’s wisdom, strength, and courage; and that He may continue to guide and guard you in the work that he has assigned to you.

The Science Quiz Competition organised for Students in Ankpa LGA at St. Charles College, was greeted by so many people who troop in to see the display of academic knowledge of our teeming youths in Ankpa LGA. The competition was strongly contested among Ten (10) secondary schools viz; Comsaldocg’s College Ankpa, Aleka Academy Ankpa, Global College Ankpa, St Charles College Ankpa, Redeemer Secondary School Ankpa, Community Sec. Breaking News: Muri/SDP floors ODODO as Supreme Court grants stay of execution

In a significant development, the Supreme Court has issued a stay of execution on the orders of the Court of Appeal, which were previously granted on March 1st, 2024. These orders had set aside the inspections conducted by the Petitioners, as well as orders G, K, and N of the Tribunal's orders from November 25th, 2023. The legal team representing the Petitioners, led by Chief J.S. Okutepa SAN and including Shaibu Enejoh Aruwa SAN and other lawyers, passionately argued for the stay during today's hearing, expressing concern over the irreversible damage the Court of Appeal's orders would inflict on their clients. Responding to their plea, the Supreme Court granted the interim stay and ordered relief in accordance with the motion filed on March 5th, 2024. The hearing on the motion on notice has now been adjourned to March 11th, 2024.
