Rt. Hon. Ahmed Mohammed to organize Science Secondary School Quiz Competition for Students; to boost education at the rural communities

The Deputy Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly and member representing Ankpa I constituency, Rt. Hon. Ahmed Mohammed  (the Omakoji of Ankpa - Gbadaligi) has unveil plans to organise Quiz Competition for Science Secondary Schools within Ankpa LGA. This, according to him will boost the moral and intellectual capacity of students who lost interest in taking science courses at the elementary level,  and also, will encourage the younger ones to take academic seriously.
The Deputy Speaker hinted that, invitation has been sent to thirteen (13) schools to participate in the sciences Quiz Competition from which only two winners schools shall emerge to represent Ankpa LGA in the grand finale with other rivalries from the Dekina, Idah, Okene and Lokoja axis.

The schools from Ankpa LGA to partake in the Quiz Competition are;

1. Comsaldocg’s College Ankpa

2. Aleka Academy Ankpa

3. Global College Ankpa

4. St Charles College Ankpa

5. Redeemer Secondary School Ankpa

6. Community Girls Sec. School Ankpa

7. Demonstration Sec School Ankpa

8. Unity Comprehensive Sec school Ankpa

9. Dynamic International Group of School Ankpa

10. Ankpa LGA Special Day Sec. School

11. Enjema Community Sec. School

12. Govt. Girls Sec. School Okaba

13. Okenyi Community Sec. School


The Science subjects selected for the quiz programmes are:

1. Biology
2. Chemistry
3 Physics
4. Mathematics

Date: Wednesday, 30th October, 2019

Time: 9:30 am Prompt

Venue: St. Charles College Ankpa.

Winner of the competition shall be awarded full scholarship to University level of his choice. While the First and Second runner up shall benefit hugely with academic materials, and lots of consolation prizes for other participants.
