ANKPA IS A HOME OF HARDWORKING INTELLECTS: IF YOU ARE LAZY, DON’T INDICT OTHERS FOR YOUR SELFISH POLITICAL BARGAIN.

Sequel to my earlier article entitled: ‘Ankpa is not for thuggery: spare our youth from your selfish politics and save the future of our home’ which was a shout out to Ankpa politicians to desist from politics of thuggery and selfishness and to the youth not to involve themselves in political thuggery or any social vices prior to the forthcoming general elections. Where upon, we so much believed that every reasonable Ankpa politician and youth who have good will for the development of Ankpa would get heed to and be guided towards sustaining the future of our ancestral home.

However, we became disappointed and frustrated just a week after the passionate shout out when I saw a report posted by one Mr Akor Martins on his facebook time line captured: KOGI ASSEMBLY MEMBER SPONSORED THUGS ARRESTED IN ANKPA, the post wherein it was reported that some thugs sponsored by Hon. Ahmed Muhammed, a member representing Ankpa 1 at the Kogi State House of Assembly, were arrested at Emekutu by SARS on 20th March, 2018 with display of some recovery ammunitions. The disturbing questions that engulfed my mind was; why Ankpa again? Then it was Hon. John Aduga’s accused thugs who were arrested by Nigerian Navy after his political declaration ceremony at Ankpa wherein the boys all confessed to the crime and now Hon. Ahmed? Ahmed who is always preaching against thuggery to the extent that he personally condemned the act when Aduga boys were arrested? If this is true, then may God intervene in Ankpa case hence the development is strange to Ankpa politics.

That was my initial worry and prayer for if that is confirmed true, it would be an indication that our efforts in preaching for thuggery-free Ankpa are frustrated and valueless until I went through the post the second time with a legal view as a Law Graduate and discover some loopholes in the report to the extent that the claimed eyewitness who could get the names of the purported thugs and the recovered ammunitions could not get their pictures or the pictures of the SARS who arrested them among others.
However, Subsequently, I became totally relieved when our investigation reviewed crystally that it was a fabricated report calculated to indict the political will of the Accused and Ankpa youth and politics as there were no record of such incident. Consequent upon, the public is hereby also enjoined to treat the report with levity as there no iota of truth in it.
Notwithstanding, it is worrisome and sympathetic that a Graduate of Political Science, a son of Ankpa be so lazy and allowed himself to be conceived by anti-Ankpa development spirit to have fabricated that kind of indicting report against his fellow Ankpa man and Ankpa his home without considering its consequences on himself as a person and Ankpa as a community. This should be an eye-opener to all of us that, not all that glitters is gold. However, Mr Akor Martins and others of his kind should know that Ankpa is for all of us and it is still a home of hardworking intellects who are focused and peace loving. If you are lazy, Stop indicting our youths for your selfish political bargain. More so, to all Ankpa politicians and youth who is imbedded with such evil calculation should berried it and desist from it in totality for peace and sustainable development of our ancestral home.

However, it should be noted that, if all this kind of evil political calculations is manifesting now even when the election is still far away, then there is imperative need for serious prayers for Ankpa our home. Consequently, I wish to call the attention of Ankpa Elders and Clergies to wake up as it is still day for a sting in time can save nine.
