ANKPA IS NOT FOR THUGGERY: SPARE OUR YOUTH FROM YOUR POLITICS OF SELFISHNESS AND SAVE THE FUTURE OF OUR HOME.

A shout out to Ankpa politicians by the Nigerian Youth Graduate Assembly via her National President, Comrd. Ogbe Benson Aduojo.

"He who lives by the sword shall die by the sword". It is really heart-down-throding and a thing of disgrace for Ankpa to be hard of by the prevailing recent invented devilish act of some Ankpa politicians in their quest for political power which is really uncalled  for and totally strange to the land.

Ankpa, the home of peace loving people is known to be free from thuggery and "Omawede" slogan even when the words and its activities were known and common in other neighbouring LGAs. The good people of Ankpa has been applauded for peace and unity in terms of thuggery and other political vices.This is so as there was no or just minimal records of thuggery in Ankpa political trend  right from the regime of Late Audu through Alh. Ibrahim, Capt Wada and now this new administration of Alh. Yahaya Bello as served and serving Governors of Kogi State where Ankpa is located.

Ankpa Youths were used to be envied by their colleagues for their doggedness, hard working, cleanliness and boldness. They were never known for the "Omawede" slogan used by lazy youths of other places as a means of showcasing their loyalty to politicians in begging for arms. Let alone involving themselves in thuggery activities. However, very regrettably, recently on the news that some selfish Ankpa politicians has beginning to recruit Ankpa Youths in thuggery for their selfish politics. This is evidently demonstrated as report hard it late last week that a car belonging to a polical aspirant was burnt down in Ankpa. The act which is said to have been perpetrated by some thugs and on the following day, it was also reported that members of the Nigerian Navy arrested some thugs with firearms and the said thugs are youths including graduates. Indeed, this act for what so ever, is embarrassing and a set back for our democracy and  the development of Ankpa.

If this heinous activities is happening now even when general elections is still  remaining about a year period, who can predict what Ankpa would become in the next ten months if these selfish politicians are not estopped from this devilish acts?

To our politicians, gone are those days of political ignorance. If really your desire is to represent and lead your people democratically and not for your selfishness then why must it be a game of do or die? Why should the youth, the hope of our future be useless as thugs? Why must you spent money on thugs to create havoc in the life of your electorates instead of using such money to develop your electorates? Politics is a game of popularity which can be determined via your antecedents. Allow your electorates to access you by your antecedent and not by the instrumentality of thuggery or any other political vices. if your antecedents cannot honour you for victory, thuggery will dishonoured you for failure. Akpane ane akpa.

Selfish politicians and leaders in Ankpa should by this  call desist from their destructive activities. Ankpa is not for thugery, it is for peacee and if you are not comfortable with the peace agenda of Ankpa you can leave for others to live.

And to my fellow youth both at the national level and Ankpa wing, it is high time we know our worth. We should know that we are the pillars and hope of our nation, state and local government areas. How many politician have you seen using their son as thug? but their sons are the first beneficiary of your selfless services to their parent. Be wise. Don't give yourself cheaply to be used and dumpt that is if you even survived it. This does not mean you should not participate in politics but kindly know  your worth. Stop the laziness slogan of "omawede" or "am your boy" for that is an invitation to treat for politicians. Be wise.

Breaking News: Muri/SDP floors ODODO as Supreme Court grants stay of execution

In a significant development, the Supreme Court has issued a stay of execution on the orders of the Court of Appeal, which were previously granted on March 1st, 2024. These orders had set aside the inspections conducted by the Petitioners, as well as orders G, K, and N of the Tribunal's orders from November 25th, 2023. The legal team representing the Petitioners, led by Chief J.S. Okutepa SAN and including Shaibu Enejoh Aruwa SAN and other lawyers, passionately argued for the stay during today's hearing, expressing concern over the irreversible damage the Court of Appeal's orders would inflict on their clients. Responding to their plea, the Supreme Court granted the interim stay and ordered relief in accordance with the motion filed on March 5th, 2024. The hearing on the motion on notice has now been adjourned to March 11th, 2024.

Breaking: Fresh Petition Accuse Yahaya Bello, Ododo of stealing over N300 Billion Local Government Funds

A fresh petition before the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has accused former Kogi state Governor, Yahaya Bello and his successor, Usman Ododo, of conniving with others to either loot or misappropriate over N300Billion allocation to the 21 Local Governments of the state between May 2016-January 2024. On Wednesday, operatives of EFCC had stormed Bello’s residence in Abuja in an attempt to arrest him over an ongoing fraud investigation. But Ododo arrived the former Governor’s residence and helped him to evade arrest by smuggling him out. However, the fresh petition listed all the 21 immediate past Local Government Chairmen who served during Bello as co-conspirators in the looting of the over N300billion LG funds. The petition signed by a group known as Kogi Conscience stated that in 2016, N23.1billion was received as Kogi Local Govt Allocations and in 2018, N43.6billion was received.
