Herdsmen Attack: Ahmed Ahmed condemned attack, calls for Peace.

The Deputy Majority Leader and member representing Ankpa 1 State Constituency at the Kogi State House of Assembly, Honorable Ahmed Mohammed condemned, in strong terms, the killings by herdsmen in oganè-nigwu and Omala LGA in Kogi State.

Speaking to pressmen on Saturday 17th March 2018, The Deputy Majority Leader also called on the security agencies to beef up security in areas where this type of killing is ongoing.

"Every life is valuable either within or outside the state. No life should be lost as a result of violence. I sympathize with the people of Dekina and Omala LGA and I must appreciate immediate response of the Kogi State government by ensuring that full security machineries are deployed to those areas. I am hopeful that, with this measures such attacks will be nipped in the bud.” He said.

He condoled with the families of the victims and appealed to members of the affected communities to keep the peace and rest assured that the culprits will be apprehended and that justice will be served."

Kogi: Bill to Establish Youth Development Commission Underway: Hon. Ahmed Mohammed

Residents of Ubelle/Allor Community Commend Kogi Deputy Speaker for Grading/Opening Abandoned road.

The Deputy Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, who is also a member representing Ankpa 1 state constituency, Rt. Hon. Ahmed Mohammed has received commendations, prayers and words of encouragement from the people of Ubelle and Allor community, as equipments arrived and have started opening and grading of the major rural road. The road which passes from Ubelle to Allor has long been abandoned and not accessible. While visiting the communities that were badly affected by constant rainfall and erosion, the legislator assures the community that measures will be taken to ensure that, the major access road that link Ubelle to Allor which was long abandoned shall be open to make movement of their goods and other economic activities easier.
