KGHA: Hon. Ahmed Mohammed call on the State Government to save the life of Mr. Suleiman Usman

WEDNESDAY 30TH MAY 2018 FROM THE CHAMBERS OF THE KOGI STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY LOKOJA UPDATE: The member representing Ankpa I State Constituency and the Deputy majority leader of Kogi State House of Assembly, on the floor of the house raised a matter of urgent public importance calling on the state government to come to the aid of Mr. Suleiman Adejoh, an indigine of Ankpa LGA who had a spinal cord Injury as a result of heavy rainfall which brought down his house while he was asleep. The patient in question is currently receiving treatment at Allied Specialist Hospital and diagnosis center, Gwagwalada, Abuja FCT. Part of the motion reads; "The Rt. Hon. ICDA Fund raising: Hon. Ahmed Mohammed donates 1 Million Naira, assures his support to igala projects anytime

Detailed report of yesterday's ICDA fundraising project for the building of Igala Unity House. By Onogwu Muhammed Galacticus The hope of renovating the dilapidated and outdated Igala Unity House in Anyigba was kept alive on Sunday when a fundraising committee chaired by Alhaji Jibrin Isah Echocho was able to realise over N45million for the project. Alhaji Isah Echocho, a foremost politician from Kogi East Senatorial District who was appointed by the Igala Cultural and Development Association (ICDA) some weeks ago, made a donation of N5million to open the floor for other donors. The Attah Igala, His Royal Highness, Michael Ameh Oboni II, who was represented at the occasion by Ogohi Onu Anyigba as the Royal Father of the Day, made cash donation to the project. Report; Over 100 participants drawn from the five wards in Ankpa I constituency to participate in the first edition of Ankpa I Qur'anic recitation competition. The competition opened in Ankpa Township Stadium on Sunday 20th May, 2018. Declaring it open, the Deputy majority leader assured of his continued support towards Islamic education and moral up-bringing of children. applauded the effort of the  Reciters, saying that, memorization of the Holy Quran requires commitment and seriousness. In his speech he said; "I, must commend your determination to memorize the Holy Quran which has enabled you to participate in this very important competition. It is important that we continue to encourage the recitation of the Quran beyond this competition, even among non-Muslims". MAIDEN QUR'ANIC RECITATION/ COMPETITION This is to inform the general public that there would be Qur'anic recitation/ competition for the students of Qur'anic knowledge in all the five (5) wards in Ankpa I Constituency.  The competition is spread across thirty days during the Ramadan fasting. The Deputy Majority Leader and member representing Ankpa I State constituency in the Kogi State House of Assembly, Honorable Ahmed Mohammed wishes Muslims a peaceful and blessed Ramadan. In his very brief message made available to the press, he urged all Ankpa Sons and Daughters to seize the opportunity of the Holy Month to offer prayers for peace, unity, and rapid socio-economic development in the nation. According to him, Ramadan is also a period when Muslims come together to give charitably to the less fortunate. In his words, "We must increase our acts of worship in this holy month, and re dedicate ourselves to projecting the Islamic virtues of brotherly love, peaceful co-existence, honesty, tolerance, piety, fairness, equity and justice for all in their dealings with others". As the holy month begins, I wish all those celebrating a very happy and prosperous Ramadan, he said.

Ahmed Mohammed was full of people who turned out to appreciate the kind gesture of a man who visited affected victims of the rainstorm and decided to stand by victims to support them in Ankpa LGA. The Deputy Majority Leader while making the donation, said that the primary purpose was to identify with the people in trial times like this, to show love and care to fellow citizens in distress. On Saturday 30th March 2018 at Young Muslim Congress Secondary School Ankpa, Honorable Ahmed Mohammed of Ankpa I State constituency and the Deputy Majority Leader of the Kogi State House of Assembly stated that effective teaching and learning can only take place in a good and conducive atmosphere. Speaking at the Donation of Chairs, tables for students and Staff of YMC Secondary School, he said many of the schools in Ankpa LGA are not what they used to be. Some of the schools that were dignified Secondary Schools and has produced lots of dignitaries are now dilapidated and rundown.
