Kogi Deputy Speaker eulogises SSG to Kogi State Government on her birthday.

The Deputy Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly and member representing Ankpa 1 constituency, Rt. Hon. Ahmed Mohammed sent his felicitations to the Secretary to the Kogi State Government, Mrs. Folashade Ayoade Arike as she mark her birthday celebration today.

The Deputy Speaker in his message describes the SSG as an Amazon who has build on a trail of life as an outstanding administrator, a politician and a philantropist currently serving our state with an uncommon sense of patriotism and unwavering commitment. He eulogized Mrs. Folashade's patriotism and unrelenting service to Kogi state and Nigeria at large.

He said: “On the occasion of your birthday anniversary today, I write to heartily felicitate with you, your family and political associates on behalf of myself and political family. May Almighty God continue to preserve and protect you, for the sterling accomplishments and qualitative fulfilment."

Breaking News: Muri/SDP floors ODODO as Supreme Court grants stay of execution

In a significant development, the Supreme Court has issued a stay of execution on the orders of the Court of Appeal, which were previously granted on March 1st, 2024. These orders had set aside the inspections conducted by the Petitioners, as well as orders G, K, and N of the Tribunal's orders from November 25th, 2023. The legal team representing the Petitioners, led by Chief J.S. Okutepa SAN and including Shaibu Enejoh Aruwa SAN and other lawyers, passionately argued for the stay during today's hearing, expressing concern over the irreversible damage the Court of Appeal's orders would inflict on their clients. Responding to their plea, the Supreme Court granted the interim stay and ordered relief in accordance with the motion filed on March 5th, 2024. The hearing on the motion on notice has now been adjourned to March 11th, 2024.
